Frequently asked questions

The CM-36d is a benchtop spectrophotometer used for laboratory and quality control measurements in coatings, plastics, ceramics, chemicals, paper and textiles.
SCI (Specular Component Included) includes the glossy reflection of the surface in the measurement; SCE (Specular Component Excluded) excludes it. SCI represents the true color of the material, SCE the color the eye sees. The CM-36d offers both modes; measuring both takes about 3.5 seconds.
The CM-36dG and CM-36dGV models add ISO 2813 compliant 60° gloss measurement, numerical UV control (NUVC) and an RGB camera on top of color measurement. We can help you decide which model fits your needs.
The measured spectral data is transferred to ColorMission; the software calculates ΔE, gives pass/fail decisions, calculates recipes and archives measurements. Argetek installs the device and the software together and provides training and support.
